Zimbabwe’s leading telecommunications company, Econet Wireless Zimbabwe, emerged victorious at the 65th Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), securing four prestigious awards from amongst 574 exhibits, and excelling in various sectors. Econet Wireless Zimbabwe won the coveted Presidential Award for the Supreme Zimbabwean Exhibit for its striking exhibition stand, created by Davies Events, which embodied the theme of “Industrialisation: Crafting an Integrated Economic Landscape.”

Econet Wireless Zimbabwe received the award for Most Experiential Zimbabwean Exhibit for the exceptional display of Zimbabwean culture, entertainment and lifestyle at their booth.

The Zimbabwe International Trade Fair 2025 was marked by a sharp increase in foreign involvement, with an impressive 91 percent growth in foreign exhibitors, contributing to a highly competitive and vibrant environment. This year’s showcase of sectoral excellence demonstrated innovation, creativity, and visual impression, and the best exhibits were recognized through a combination of expert judges and public voting.

Meanwhile, on the international front, China received the Chairman’s Award for garnering the most corporate awards, while the British Embassy in Harare claimed the Supreme Foreign Exhibit Honour. The European Union Delegation and Belarus jointly won the International Trade and Engagement award. In the education sector, the National University of Science and Technology (Nust) was recognised for the Best Education Exhibit, while Home of Zanu-PF stood out amongst SMEs and the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development won the Caltex Floating Trophy for the Best Agricultural Stand. The Zimbabwe Republic Police won the Public Enterprise Category, Home of Zanu-PF represented SMEs, the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development won the Caltex Floating Trophy, and the National University of Science and Technology (Nust) was recognized for the Best Education Exhibit. Despite the number of awards received, Econet Wireless Zimbabwe continued to lead the pack in terms of sectoral representation and exhibition quality, while other participants consistently showcased sectoral excellence.
