Philippine Airlines Recognizes Trip.com Group with Prestigious Awards

Philippine Airlines has recently bestowed two esteemed awards upon Trip.com Group, its long-standing online travel platform partner, at the 2025 PAL Awards. These awards underscore the exceptional partnership between the two companies and their shared commitment to delivering world-class travel experiences for their clients.

  • Top Performer Award
  • Chairman’s Circle Club Award

The Top Performer Award is a testament to Trip.com Group’s outstanding sales contributions and customer service excellence, while the Chairman’s Circle Club Award is one of PAL’s highest honours, recognising top-performing partners across all sales channels. The Chairman’s Circle Club Award marked Trip.com Group as a standout in the travel industry at large, further solidifying the company’s position as a leading online travel agency partner. Trip.com Group associate vice-president CT Ooi stated: “We are incredibly honoured to be recognised by Philippine Airlines with not just one, but two prestigious awards. These accolades are a testament to the strength of our partnership and our shared commitment to delivering seamless, world-class travel experiences for customers. We look forward to continuing our successful collaboration with PAL as we connect more travellers to and from the Philippines.”
The Top Performer Award highlights Trip.com Group’s exceptional performance in driving bookings and customer satisfaction, with flight bookings on the Trip.com Philippines site growing dramatically by over 300 percent in 2024 compared to the year before. The most popular destinations from the Philippines were mainland China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, and Korea.

Flight Destinations from the Philippines in 2024
Destination Number of Bookings
Mainland China 15,000
Hong Kong 8,000
Thailand 5,000
Japan 3,000
Korea 2,000

With PAL recently restarting direct flights between Manila and Beijing, travel between China and the Philippines is expected to grow further this year. Vietnam, a favoured destination for Filipinos, is also set to experience increased popularity with flights between Cebu and Ho Chi Minh City scheduled to commence in May 2025, followed by Manila-Da Nang flights in July 2025. In summary, the two awards bestowed by Philippine Airlines on Trip.com Group are a testament to the company’s dedication to delivering world-class travel experiences for its clients, as well as its long-standing commitment to supporting PAL’s mission to bring the warmth of Filipino hospitality to the skies. As the travel industry continues to evolve, Trip.com Group’s partnership with PAL is poised to remain a key driver of success in the years to come.
